Irrigation

Many renewable raw materials have a low water buffer and/or a slow water uptake. The water content at –10 cm provides an indication of how well a substrate retains water after irrigation. If the substrate holds less water, irrigation will need to be applied more frequently. The water uptake velocity after drying in is determined with a WOK analysis.
