Points of attention
Back to: PRESCRIPTION
Renewable raw materials (including bark, wood fibre , or rice hulls) are often still relatively fresh and therefore less stable. Bacteria and fungi can easily break down part of the organic matter. During this process, they consume nitrogen that is actually intended for the plant. This results in a temporary nitrogen deficiency for the plant, which can sometimes only partially be compensated for by fertilization. Such a nitrogen deficiency can pose a significant risk to the culture.
