RHP is the international knowledge centre for potting soil and substrates. Our quality marks are used worldwide by substrate producers and raw material suppliers. From our office in ’s-Gravenzande, The Netherlands, we work every day on the quality, safety and sustainability of substrates for professional horticulture and the consumer market. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:

Team Leader Research & Analysis

(32–40 hours per week)

As Team Leader Research & Analysis, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of all routine research activities within RHP. You lead a team of four research assistants and ensure that analyses are carried out on time, accurately and in accordance with established procedures.

You are the link between day-to-day research activities, our certified companies and external laboratories. Together with the Head of Research, you ensure that routine research and knowledge development are closely aligned and reinforce one another. Where necessary, you also participate in laboratory or greenhouse activities and assist in carrying out analyses.

• Lead and support four research assistants on a daily basis
• Prepare and monitor the weekly planning
• Coordinate analyses and research activities within our laboratory and greenhouse facilities
• Review, assess and report research results
• Maintain contacts with certified companies and external laboratories
• Ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of routine research
• Identify bottlenecks and initiate improvement proposals
• Contribute to the further professionalisation of research processes
• Support the execution of analyses where required

Are you someone who brings structure, knows how to motivate people and enjoys taking responsibility? Do you also enjoy working in a laboratory environment and carrying out analyses yourself? Then we would like to meet you!

We are looking for someone with:

• Higher professional (or academic) working and thinking level, preferably in a relevant laboratory or horticultural field
• Experience coordinating or managing activities within a laboratory environment
• An accurate and quality-focused way of working
• Good command of Dutch and English

• A gross monthly salary of €4,100 to €5,000 based on full-time employment, depending on knowledge and experience
