RHP is the international knowledge centre for potting soil and growing media. Our quality marks are used worldwide by substrate producers and raw material suppliers. From our office in ’s-Gravenzande, the Netherlands, we work every day on the quality, safety and sustainability of growing media for professional horticulture and the consumer market. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:

Programme Manager Responsible Sourcing

(32–40 hours per week)

As Programme Manager Responsible Sourcing, you will be responsible for the further development and positioning of the Responsibly Produced Peat (RPP) and Responsibly Produced Coir (RPC) certification schemes, and you will support their practical implementation among raw material and substrate producers. 

You will work in an international environment with representatives of companies, scientists, trade associations and non-governmental organisations. Connecting people, motivating stakeholders and guiding decision-making processes are an important part of your work. 

• Further develop and implement certification schemes for responsible production and sourcing
• Guide international consultation and decision-making processes
• Create support among companies, stakeholders and supply chain partners
• Translate complex sustainability themes into practical applications
• Represent RHP in international networks and projects

We are looking for someone with:

• Higher professional or academic working and thinking level
• Relevant experience in sustainability, environment or certification
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with stakeholder management and decision-making processes
• Good command of Dutch and English
• Affinity with the horticulture and/or growing media sector

• A gross monthly salary of €4,100 to €6,000 based on full-time employment, depending on knowledge and experience
