RHP is the international knowledge centre for potting soil and growing media. Our quality marks are used worldwide by substrate producers and raw material suppliers. From our office in ’s-Gravenzande, the Netherlands, we work every day on the quality, safety and sustainability of growing media for professional horticulture and the consumer market. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an:

International Technical Advisor Growing Media

(32–40 hours per week)

As a technical advisor, you play a key role in translating (new) knowledge into practical applications. You advise substrate producers and raw material suppliers on quality, sustainability and process improvements. 

No two days are the same. One week you visit raw material locations in Europe or beyond; the next, you discuss technical issues with producers or analyse research results with colleagues at the office. You also occasionally visit growers to see how growing media perform in practice. With your expertise, you help producers optimise their processes and realise high-quality, sustainable products. 

• Advise substrate producers and raw material suppliers in the Netherlands and abroad
• Assess raw materials, production processes and product quality
• Translate research results into practical advice
• Carry out analyses and improvement studies
• Give presentations, training sessions and knowledge meetings
• Contribute to the development of quality and certification systems

Are you entrepreneurial and interested in the latest developments in substrates and substrate raw materials? Do you enjoy international travel and using your communication skills to help others move forward? Then we are looking for you!

We are looking for someone with:

• Higher professional or academic working and thinking level
• Experience in horticulture, the growing media sector or a related sector
• Good command of Dutch and English
• Willingness to travel internationally

Experience with growing media is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are happy to invest in the further development of professionals who have the ambition to become specialists.
