During inspections, auditors from certification bodies (CBs) take product samples for verification within the RHP certification scheme. These samples are sealed with an orange label and must always be sent to RHP for laboratory analysis.
Product samples taken by an auditor of a certification body (CB) and marked with an orange label must always be sent to RHP. In practice, mistakes sometimes occur and a sealed sample is sent directly to an external RHP acknowledged laboratory by mistake. To avoid misunderstandings: an orange label always indicates that the sample is intended for RHP.
The orange labels are provided by RHP to auditors of certification bodies and to RHP technical advisors. After sampling, the product sample is sealed with a uniquely numbered label. The certified company then sends the sample to RHP, registered via Hermes and accompanied by the submission form.
Each orange label carries a unique seal number, enabling RHP to identify to which auditor or technical advisor the label was issued. This procedure ensures a reliable and transparent sample chain. In addition, auditors don’t need to carry product samples while travelling.
