Sivanthi Joe Coirs in India

This edition features the company Sivanthi Joe Coirs in our series “RHP Stories: Committed to Quality.” In this series, we highlight certified companies and invite them to share what RHP certification means to them and what it has brought to their business.

Why certified?

“Since 30 January 2006, we have been RHP Horticulture certified for our coir products, both as substrate raw materials and as substrates. Certification has resulted in a solid internal quality system based on objective standards, enabling us to consistently maintain our quality. As RHP requirements evolve in line with developments in horticulture, we remain ‘state of the art’.”

What do your customers and growers notice?

“Customers and growers recognise RHP certification as an independent quality standard for growing media. Many growers and traders value or specifically request RHP certification. It provides assurance and, in some cases, aligns with the grower’s own certification requirements.”

Looking ahead

“We have developed a new product, Coco Pro Coin, which is currently under RHP review. In developing this product, we were able to use the tools developed by RHP. These tools that align well with current grower requirements.”

Last but not least

“In our view, there is still an opportunity to increase awareness and understanding of what the RHP quality mark for coir products represents among new customers.”
