RHP has published a factsheet on unfertilised growing media. This factsheet is part of a series covering specific topics related to potting soil and growing media.
The factsheet is available in the RHP knowledge base and is intended for certified companies, their customers, and other stakeholders. Unfertilised substrate is supplied to growers without added fertilisers. However, this is not recommended for growing media based on peat raw materials. During cultivation, this may lead to a strong drop in pH, an imbalance in the availability of trace elements, and reduced nutrient uptake.
A new factsheet will be added to the knowledge base approximately once per quarter. Upcoming topics include (liver) moss, microplastics and PFAS.
