Since May 12, Elselien van der Wel has strengthened the RHP team as an administrative assistant. In doing so, she takes over the position from Daisy Otto, who in turn has succeeded Ben de Jong. After many years of dedicated service, Ben has retired and is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement.
In her new role, Elselien supports our team with a variety of tasks. These include handling phone calls, administratively processing incoming product samples, managing accounts in databases, taking minutes during meetings, preparing reports, and organising RHP training sessions.
Elselien: “My roots lie in the Westland region, where I was born and raised on my father’s horticultural business. Throughout my career, I have always worked in the horticultural sector. Previously, I was a commercial assistant at a propagation company for pot and bedding plant cuttings. My first weeks at RHP have felt good, and I look forward to contributing to this wonderful organisation!”

After 22 years of service at RHP, Ben de Jong has retired. On his final working day, May 23, his colleagues said goodbye during a festive lunch, which was also attended by his wife and daughters.
