Since 1 January 2026, RPP (Responsibly Produced Peat) has been part of the RHP organisation. The RPP certification scheme celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark this occasion, we are publishing a series of interviews about the past, present and future of RPP. In this second interview, Marcel Silvius and Guus van Berckel share their perspectives on the origins of RPP. They reflect on the early years of the scheme and explain how RPP has developed over the past decade from a joint initiative into a mainstream certification scheme for responsible peat production.
